I love them to bits and I'm so grateful that they're friends. They've both worked their whole lives caring for others as social workers with the elderly and with dementia patients. I'd really like to see them relax and enjoy being taken care of themselves. And let's face it; they could use a manicure...working in health care settings really wreaks havoc on your hands with the obsessive hand-washing! :) I think my mom and stepmom could really use some pampering. Working as a dispatcher with 22 truckers, and over 100 guys in the plant means you lose touch with the little touches of luxury (read hair and nails) that I loved. When I'm not dealing with men, I'm making pretty things for other women, so maybe it's my turn for a little while to just be a girl, doing girl things, and letting someone pamper me. I’d love to feel like a ‘girl’ again.
