Suze,
I've declared 2010 as the year of stepping into our greatness. We know what we need to know, and what we don't know, we know how to get the answers. There's no big secrets, no private clubs, no hard learning curves. The forerunners handled that for us. It's time to get down to business. Act.

That's how I feel about social media. Now I'm not breaking up - but I am going to the next level. I"ll be sharing what I know with those who need to know it (which is really, everyone). I'm being great, all on my own. I'm committed to making a difference. I'm done talking. I'm an action girl now.

yeah - I feel a blog post coming on! Thanks for the nudge. I can't wait to see what cool new things you've discovered, you're building, your acting upon.

Brilliant, I knew this was going to happen. Dare I say great link bait? Nope in all honesty I have to admit it's well worth the read. But, I am willing to take a shot... in my humble opinion ( I have seen this in "some applications") the future brings seamless applications that encompass all social media, mobile, blogs, web, TV into one platform. After all information is power and power is everything... Not sure who said that but it stuck. Happy Holidays!

Ari - nope - that's not it at all. In fact, I may be blogging MORE - just about different things. I'm tired of sitting around talking about social media - analyzing it, picking it apart, figuring it out. We've already figured a lot of it out. It's time to stop talking, and start implementing. In fact, we should have been implementing a long time ago. Yet some people still seem intent on just talking about things.

The stuff I WANT to talk about, what I WANT to be exploring on this blog and other channels, is what's next. Social media in a lot of ways is still a very immature medium..there's so much yet to evolve and spin out of it. That's what I want to focus on now. There are new topics to explore, new conversations to have.

My break up with social media is not a break up with the USE of it. I'll still be doing that. I'm just moving on from the same old conversation, that's all.

Hope that clears it up a bit.
Thanks for reading!

I don't understand. You're not going to blog anymore? Or... you're going to close the ability for people to add comments?

Well said. There is definitely too much navel-gazing on Twitter about what to do with Twitter. I much prefer the conversations that are happening successfully despite this trend.

While I won't be breaking with with social media any time soon, we have definitely cooled our relationship from hot and heavy to fun and functional. :)

Thanks for another great post!
