Sue,

It was a real pleasure chatting with your class the other day. You have a great group of students!

I referred to several conversations and material throughout my talk. If your class is interested they can hear the conversations I've had with others here at the two links, below - no cost and iTunes feeds for both:

http://boxesandarrows.com/person/763-iaconsultants
http://www.iaconsultants.ca/index.php/podcast/

The book I mentioned briefly is called "Subject to Change" written by senior designers at Adaptive Path http://www.adaptivepath.com can be found here http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/0596516835/adaptivepat07-20/ref=nosim/

One of the most emotionally powerful presentations I saw was at UX Week put on by Adaptive Path from Jake Barton who created StoryCorps http://www.storycorps.net/

Best wishes and congratulations to your entire class who are graduating in April! :)

Cheers,
Jeff

Boy I feel like I've been shaken awake ... Again. As designers we can get focused on the bleeding edge technologies and forget that the rest of the world, relatively speaking, doesn't even know Twitter exists... Certainly not what you can do with it. Thanks... I'm shaking my head to clear the fog!

What a great post and a valuable message. As "progressive" as any of us see we are we still create boxes (or bubbles) for ourselves. Yet you can't get out of a box until you can recognize you are in one. You did a great job of illuminating the box that twitter can be if we aren't mindful.

My favorite thing about teaching is that I often end up learning more than my students in the process!
